green-tea

Drinking green tea has some pretty impressive health benefits including reducing your risk of cancer, assisting in weight loss, improving dental health and even making you smarter. So it’s no surprise that green tea can also work wonders on your body from the outside. Topical applications of green tea can improve your complexion, reduce inflammation, protect your skin from UV damage and can even effectively treat skin conditions such as psoriasis and rosacea. Here are a few quick and easy ways to incorporate the benefits of green tea into your beauty routine.

Green Tea Face Mask
This face mask is the perfect way to fight fine lines and wrinkles while adding moisture and radiance to your complexion. It is also effective at clearing blackheads and spots and relieving redness.

Directions
1. Place green tea in a bowl and add enough warm water to moisten the leaves.
2. Mix in the organic honey and combine well
3. Apply the mixture to your face and leave for 20 minutes (you can even sip a cup of green tea while you wait to really boost your health and beauty benefits)
4. Rinse thoroughly with warm water

Green Tea Toner
This toner is a great option for those with sensitive or dry skin, reducing the size of pores without drying the skin.
You will need:
• One heaped teaspoon of iTea Green Tea
• The juice of one lemon
• 5 drops of Tea Tree Oil
• One tablespoon of baking soda
Directions:
1. Brew one cup of green tea
2. Add the lemon juice and Tea Tree oil

4. Store the mixture in the fridge and use within 2 weeks
5. To use, either pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spritz your face, or use a cotton bud to dab the mixture on the face and neck.

Green Tea Body Scrub
This body scrub will help you to achieve fresh, glowing and younger looking skin all over your body and is a much more cost effective option than store bought scrubs.
You will need:
• 1 cup Granulated Sugar
• 1/8 cup Grapeseed, Olive or Coconut Oil
• 1/8 cup brewed iTea Green Tea (cooled)
• 1 heaped teaspoon iTea Green Tea
Directions:
1. Simply combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Make sure the tea is completely cool before adding, as warm tea will dissolve the sugar granules.
